Labour standards in global supply chains - a programme of action for Asia and the garment sector
This project was initiated as part of a Joint Declaration of Intent for a renewed partnership between the German Ministry for Development Cooperation (BMZ) and the ILO. The declaration identified labour standards in global supply chains as a priority for cooperation during the coming years. The target countries for the project are Cambodia, Indonesia, and Pakistan. The project’s activities contribute to the Decent Work Country Programmes of the target countries. The project includes activities at the factory, national, regional, and global levels. The project leverages and complements other ILO activities, as well as the BMZ-funded, GIZ-implemented programme on Labour and Social Standards in the Textile and Clothing Sector in Asia (Bangladesh, Cambodia and Pakistan).
