Addressing COVID-19 crisis by creating jobs and increasing community resilience to drought through green works
The project will link broader humanitarian and national development objectives to targeted interventions in infrastructure sector aimed at overcoming the specific disadvantages faced by local communities in rural Madagascar. Additionally, targeted beneficiaries and communities will be provided with knowledge, equipment, and support on the prevention of COVID-19 infection to improve their livelihoods. The project is structured around two pillars: (i) Social stabilization support through employment promotion; (ii) Contributing to food security and nutrition through the improvement of livelihoods of local communities and protection of the environment.
