Building Inclusive Markets and Decent Work for Syrian Refugees and Lebanese Host Communities (BOUZOUR)
The Building Inclusive Markets and Decent Work for Syrian Refugees and Lebanese Host Communities (BOUZOUR) project, funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), promotes decent employment opportunities in Lebanon, with a particular focus on the agriculture and agri-food sectors. These sectors are crucial for the livelihoods of vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian populations, especially women. The project aims to develop value chains in agriculture and agri-food with strong potential for job creation that benefits both communities. Through a range of targeted interventions, the project works to enhance productivity, improve working conditions, expand market access, and promote sustainable practices. By supporting farmers, local producers, and agri-businesses, BOUZOUR fosters inclusive growth, contributing to lasting livelihood improvements and economic development across Lebanon
