Advocating for Resilient Market Systems to Enhance Livelihoods for Syrian Refugees and Jordanians

The project's objective is to enhance the economic resilience and livelihood opportunities for Syrian refugees and Jordanians by strengthening market systems, advocating for evidence-based policies, and fostering strategic partnerships. The results framework serves as a guide, outlining the specific indicators and targets that will measure progress towards this objective. The framework includes impact indicators such as the number of policy and sectoral strategy processes strengthened, and the number of policy and strategy documents adopted to improve decent work opportunities for vulnerable populations. These indicators reflect the project's overarching goal of influencing policy and strategic decisions to create an enabling environment for decent work. Additionally, the framework encompasses outcome indicators focused on engaging national and sub-national entities in policy dialogue, forming strategic alliances and partnerships, and disseminating research products and policy documents. These outcomes aim to facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, build capacity, and promote knowledge-sharing to drive positive change within market systems. Furthermore, the framework includes output indicators related to activities such as developing market facilitation plans, conducting consultations and social dialogues, and providing small grants for pilot initiatives. The project takes a facilitative approach, partnering with local actors to encourage sustainable and systemic change. It identifies opportunities to leverage private sector funding and designs interventions that align with the business incentives of market actors. Key interventions target public actors to strengthen their role in enabling business and specific market functions, such as business development services and market facilitation.
