Child Labour Platform - India
The ILO’s Child Labour Platform (CLP), in partnership with the Dutch Enterprise Agency, partners to support tripartite constituents and private sector in India, including businesses members of the CLP, address the root causes of child labour in India’s supply chains by improving decent work opportunities for adults. This project seeks to improve decent work for migrant workers in India by raising awareness of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, improving access to social protection programmes, strengthening fair recruitment practices and improving capacity to conduct due diligence among companies. This project builds on the ongoing work of the Child Labour Platform and aims to achieve lasting change by holistically addressing the root causes of child labour in supply chains, including hazardous child labour, by considering the unique realities faced by seasonal migrants and their children.
