Accelerating decent jobs and social protection for the most vulnerable in Nepal
As part of the UN’s support to Nepal as a pathfinder country of the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions, the project supports Nepal to accelerate efforts to enhance productivity, create decent jobs opportunities and extend social protection for vulnerable Nepalese, especially women, youth and informal workers. It engages key stakeholders with capacity building, including knowledge exchanges, generate evidence and promote policy dialogue to enhance policy coherence, coordination, and integration in implementation, across all governments, including national and sub-national levels, to ensure effective programme delivery at the local levels. The project is implemented as a partnership between the UN and the World Bank, with the ILO and UNICEF as implementers.
