Actuarial valuation for the health insurance system in Egypt
The project conducts an actuarial valuation of the health insurance system in Egypt to ensure its financial sustainability for five years and its ability to meet obligations to contributors, in light of financial challenges caused by inflation and rising prices of medicines and medical services. The actuarial valuation reviews the financial developments of the existing scheme and provides policy recommendations to ensure the financial sustainability of the system, enabling it to meet its liabilities to beneficiaries, including school children and preschool children, during the transition period to universal health insurance.
