Comprehensive protection and promotion of the rights of indigenous children, adolescents and young people in the Brazilian Amazon basin (Component A)
The project focuses on the promotion of the rights of indigenous children, adolescents, and young people, integrating cross-cutting initiatives such as nutrition, protection against violence (especially sexual violence), disease prevention, and the production of materials in indigenous languages, alongside promoting productive inclusion and a better understanding of ILO Convention Nº 169. Additionally, the project undertakes community training and leadership development, as well as the training of health professionals to ensure culturally appropriate and effective healthcare services. Supported by the MPTF, the project presents a unified vision of seven UN agencies collaborating under a shared approach to implement an innovative package of activities focusing on strengthening public policies to improve the situation of Indigenous children and adolescents over two years.
