Enhancing Partners Capacity (State Partners and Civil Society on Decent Work and International Labour Standards for Labour Migration from Pakistan to Promote Safe and Legal Migration among Men and Women.
This 12-month project promotes safe, legal, and inclusive labour migration from Pakistan by addressing gaps in governance, unethical recruitment practices, and limited institutional capacity. Focusing on women and marginalized groups, the initiative seeks to align national frameworks with international labour standards through updated legislation, standardized recruitment guidelines, and expanded skills development. Key outcomes include strengthened legal and policy frameworks, as well as enhanced institutional capacity for ethical recruitment and migrant protection. Core activities involve legal reviews, stakeholder training, awareness campaigns, expansion of the National Skill Passport, and improved advisory services. The project contributes towards fairer recruitment processes, better-informed migrants, enhanced employability, and greater policy alignment with ILO standards, ultimately contributing to the implementation of Pakistan’s Emigration Policy 2024 and the achievement of relevant Sustainable Development Goals.
