Renforcement de la paix et la cohésion sociale à travers la résilience socio-économique le long de chaines de valeurs inclusives des populations vulnérables dans le département de l'Artibonite
Within the Artibonite project, the ILO leads actions to promote decent work and social cohesion through the inclusive development of the rice value chain. Its contribution focuses on applying the AIMS (Approach to Inclusive Market Systems) methodology to combine capacity building for local producers (“push”) with access to markets (“pull”); supporting the creation of inclusive agricultural cooperatives and facilitating the socio-economic integration of youth, women, and internally displaced persons; promoting sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural practices; strengthening the participation of women and youth in local governance and community dialogue mechanisms to reduce tensions and prevent conflicts. The ILO positions employment and decent work as key drivers of peace and resilience, directly contributing to the social and economic stabilization of the region.
