Economic and Social Empowerment for Families through Environmentally Friendly and Gender Sensitive Income Generating Activities to Combat Worst Forms of Child Labour among Girls and Boys – Phase II

Phase II of the Project aims to eliminate/reduce worst forms of child labour among boys and girls in Jasmin supply chain by empowering their families economically and socially and providing them with access to services as well as strengthen protection measures. Building on Phase I, the project shall follow an integrated approach for family empowerment, which includes the provision of a comprehensive package of services to the targeted families including rights-based interventions targeting boys and girls including awareness raising, advocacy and rehabilitation through Supporting Child Rights through Education, Art and Media (SCREAM), educational, health and psycho-social support services. These efforts will be further complemented by engaging their parents through social and economic empowerment interventions to strengthen their livelihoods. The targeted parents and children of phase I will be followed up and their improvement economically and socially will be closely monitored and supported to ensure their children will stay in education. Additionally, the project will raise awareness of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (FPRW) standards to improve working conditions, ensuring long-term sustainability.
