Strategic Framework for Harmonizing Grievance Mechanisms on Gender-based Violence and Harassment in the workplace: Building Effective Referral Pathways for the garment, footwear and travel goods sector
The project enhances coordination and effectiveness of institutions to promote access to remedy and justice ensuring timely, safe, and survivor-centered responses to gender-based violence and harassment in the workplace (GBVH). The project begins with a mapping exercise to identify existing grievance and dispute resolution mechanisms, as well as support mechanisms (psychosocial and mental health support), including those addressing gender-based violence and harassment. This includes institutional systems, brand-led initiatives, and community-level support services. Viability of identified pathways is verified through internal testing and pilot cases to assess functionality and gaps in institutional capacity. These activities collectively inform and culminate in the development of a Strategic Framework for Harmonizing Grievance Mechanisms on GBVH in the Workplace, with a focus on building effective and coordinated referral pathways across the garment, footwear and travel goods sector.
