Entr’Alliance
Entr’Alliance is part of the ILO-France partnership for 2025-2029 and supports the shared commitment to accelerate progress towards SDG target 8.7 on ending child labour, forced labour, modern slavery and human trafficking, especially in global supply chains. Building on the results and learning from the previous Entr’Alliance phases, this new phase combines global research and norm-setting with concrete public–private action in high-risk supply chains in agriculture and mining. It works at global, regional, and country level to strengthen evidence, policies, and partnerships within the framework of Alliance 8.7, the ILO Tripartite Declaration on Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy, and the ILO’s Strategy on Decent Work in Supply Chains. Entr’Alliance is (1) generating new global estimates and policy analysis on forced labour and child labour, including a second Alliance 8.7 report on child labour, forced labour and trafficking in global supply chains, and develop impact-measurement frameworks for public and private interventions; (2) promoting concrete, sustainable action on the structural causes of child labour and forced labour by supporting Alliance 8.7 pathfinder countries and partners to implement their roadmaps, strengthening cooperatives and social protection linkages, and consolidating local skills and training pathways for children aged 15–17 removed from child labour, with a particular focus on green jobs and just transition opportunities; and (3) supporting responsible business conduct and human rights due diligence in high-risk supply chains, including through the Child Labour Platform, innovative public–private collaboration models, and targeted support to MNE Declaration focal points and social partners in Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and India, as well as sub-regional work with UEMOA and partners. By connecting global data and policy work with country-level pilots in cocoa, coffee, sugarcane, spices, cotton, vanilla, cobalt and other critical minerals, and by engaging French and international companies and social partners, Entr’Alliance helps scale up systemic, rights-based solutions that tackle the root causes of child labour and forced labour while advancing decent work and social justice.
