Jobs for Green Growth and a Just Transition: Diagnostics and Policy Coherence

This project, funded by the BMZ applies the Green Employment Diagnostics (GED) methodology in Ghana, Senegal and Egypt, providing critical data and analysis to inform policymaking and labour market interventions, and develops and pilots toolkits to support the implementation of sectoral green employment policy. The project is part of the EMPLAB "Jobs for Green Growth and a Just Transition” strategy, which combines (1) Global knowledge and data to inform development partner investments and strategies (2) Policy coherence for gender responsive job-rich green growth: Using diagnostics and sectoral tools to inform country level policy employment and sectoral strategies; and (3) Evidence-based interventions and stakeholder engagement to engage and support public and private sector institutions, social partners, and vulnerable groups in the transition process through effective labour market interventions in key sectors.
