Economic Empowerment and Resilience for At-Risk Families in the Jericho and Jordan Valley
The project supports local actors in delivering sustainable, decent work outcomes in rural and crisis-affected areas of the West Bank, with a strong focus on livelihood, community development, employment, gender equality, social inclusion, youth empowerment, income security, and the prevention of child labour. Guided by the ILO’s Decent Work Agenda and Recommendation 205 on Employment and Decent Work for Peace and Resilience, the project promotes inclusive economic recovery by enhancing livelihood opportunities for vulnerable small-scale farming families The project is structured into four interrelated outputs, as described below: Output 1.1: Smallholder farmers’ technical capacities strengthened through targeted needs assessment and tailored capacity development Output 1.2: Agricultural productivity enhanced through the provision of physical inputs Output 1.3: Productive agricultural assets rehabilitated and expanded while creating decent, short-term employment opportunities through employment intensive investment programme (EIIP). Output 1.4: Economic sustainability improved through strengthened market linkages
