Convention concerning Statistics of Wages and Hours of Work, 1938 (No. 63) - Egypt (Ratification: 1940)

Article 1 of the Convention. The Committee notes that statistics on wages and hours of work for 1979, 1982, 1985 and 1987 have been communicated to the ILO. It requests the Government to indicate whether the survey on wages and hours of work has been carried out each year and, if so, to communicate data for other years to the ILO. It also requests the Government to provide information concerning the publication of the statistics and any measures envisaged to accelerate their publication.

Article 12. The Committee would be grateful if the Government would indicate measures taken or envisaged for the compilation and publication of index numbers showing the general movement of earnings.
