Article 1 of the Convention.  The Committee notes that statistics of average earnings and hours paid for (Part IIof the Convention), by sex, branch of economic activity and manufacturing industry group, and by occupation, are regularly compiled and communicated to the ILO although there is a long time lag between the reference year of the survey and the availability of the data. The Committee asks the Government whether any measures are envisaged to reduce the time lag and to publish the corresponding statistics as soon as practicable after the reference date.

Article 12.  In the absence of the reply to the previous direct request concerning data on wages which show the general movement of wages, the Committee again asks the Government to state whether index numbers showing such movement are compiled, or if it is envisaged that they will be compiled.
