Hours of Work (Industry) Convention, 1919 (No. 1) - Luxembourg (Ratification: 1928)

Article 1 of the Convention. Scope of application. The Committee notes that section 2(5) of the Act of 9 December 1970, on the reduction and regulation of the hours of work for workers in the public and private sectors of the economy, as amended, excludes from its scope of application workers in the transportation industry. It also notes that collective agreements or, in the absence of such agreements, public administration regulations must determine their hours of work. The Committee therefore requests the Government to indicate whether collective agreements exist for the transportation industry and, if so, to provide copies of such agreements.
