Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98) - Argentina (Ratification: 1956)

The Committee notes the comments of 4 August 2011 by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) referring to matters already examined by the Committee in the past and to matters examined in the context of the application of Convention No. 87 on the freedom of association and protection of the right to organise (1948). The Committee takes note of the Government’s reply to these comments.

The Committee also notes the comments of 31 August 2011 by the Confederation of Workers of Argentina (CTA) referring to matters examined in the context of the application of Convention No. 87, and reporting anti-union dismissals and violation of the right to collective bargaining in the sugar industry. The Committee asks the Government to send its observations thereon.
