Repetition Article 3 of the Convention. Right of workers’ organizations to organize their administration and activities. In its previous comment, the Committee requested the Government to clarify whether section 374(a), (b) and (c) of the Penal Code of the Netherlands Antilles, which prohibited public employees from striking under penalty of imprisonment, had been carried over into the Aruba Penal Code, which entered into force in Aruba on 27 April 2012. The Committee takes note that the Government’s decision to withdraw the reservation made with respect to Article 6(4) of the European Social Charter on the civil servants’ right to strike took effect on 6 July 2017. The Committee requests the Government to indicate any legislative measures contemplated or taken with a view to giving effect to the decision to withdraw the reservation on the civil servants’ right to strike in Aruba and thereby aligning the national legislation with the Convention.
