Submission. The Committee notes the information provided by the Government in its communication of 1 September 2023 concerning the report of the inquiry it commissioned in September 2020 to propose how the Violence and Harassment Convention, 2019 (No. 190) should be implemented in Swedish law (and which also considered the Violence and Harassment Recommendation, 2019 (No. 206)). The report, released on 26 October 2021, determined that no amendments to national legislation are required to ratify the Convention. The report of the inquiry was disseminated for public consultation to the social partners and other stakeholders, and that the issue of ratification is now handled by the Government. The Committee reiterates its request that the Government provide information on the submission to the Parliament (the Riksdag) of the Violence and Harassment Convention (No. 190) and Recommendation (No. 206), 2019, adopted by the Conference at its 108th Session (June 2019).
