Convenio sobre la continuidad del empleo (gente de mar), 1976 (núm. 145) - Costa Rica (Ratificación : 1981)

The Committee notes the information supplied by the Government in its report received in September 2001. The Committee notes in particular that the maritime activities have not been fully developed in the terms set out in the Convention because legislation giving effect to Article 2 of the Convention is not applied in practice. However, the Government appended to its report a communication of the Office of the Inspector General for Labour expressing the intent to develop a database to comply with the reporting requirements of ratified Conventions. The Committee would appreciate receiving further information on any progress made in ensuring the full application of the Convention in practice.
