The Committee notes that the Government’s brief report contains no reply to its previous comments, but indicating only that the response of the competent sectoral institution has not been received. The Committee trusts that the next report will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous comments made in 2014.

Articles 1 and 2 of the Convention. Adoption and implementation of policies and programmes of vocational guidance. Close link between employment and training. The Committee notes the information provided by the Government concerning its efforts to identify the training needs of unemployed individuals and to provide guidance to these individuals with regard to the needs of the labour market. The Government indicates that it seeks to rationalize general and technical vocational education as well as vocational training. The Committee requests the Government to provide information illustrating the way in which it ensures effective coordination between the programmes of vocational guidance and training and employment.
Article 3. Information for the purposes of vocational guidance. The Committee notes the information provided by the Government indicating that between 14,000 to 16,000 trainees are trained each year at training centres attached to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The Committee requests the Government to provide information on the measures taken to ensure that comprehensive information and the broadest possible information are available to all workers, including young people and persons with disabilities.
Article 5. Cooperation with social partners. The Government indicates that important coordination efforts are being deployed among the social partners participating in the National High Commission for Employment and Vocational Training. The Committee requests the Government to provide more specific information on the consultations held with the social partners regarding the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes of vocational guidance and vocational training.
