The vessel crew has been repatriated and the vessel Chief Engineer has been sentenced by a Malaysian Court. The Vietnam embassy has been in touch and accordingly the new owners are trying to conduct a sale of the vessel. We will seek additional information from the Harbour Master.
ITF (9 December 2020)
Crew were repatriated by the ITF but the outstanding wages are still owed. The Court has awarded agent's claim. The award is with the agent’s lawyer and once he receives it, we will receive a copy. The agent has confirmed that he will honour his promise to pay the crew.
ITF (5 February 2021)
All crew have been repatriated but there are still outstanding wages due. The vessel has been arrested and the court has awarded the claim, but until the vessel is sold the crew will not receive their owed wages.
