On May 2, the Administration contacted the vessel’s operator to verify the complaint.
On May 3, the Administration advised West of England (Hellas) Ltd. (P&I) of the seafarers’ complaint.
5 Mayo 2019: Other
On May 5, the Administration’s local representative in Dubai met with the vessel’s operator who confirmed delayed payment of wages due to internal restructuring.
On May 6, P&I advised the Administration that the vessel’s owner/operator had provided assurance that the crew would be paid.
On May 6, the Administration scheduled an MLC inspection at Veracruz.
On May 9, P&I confirmed that the owner had paid the crew on May 8.
On May 13, the vessel’s operator provide pay swifts confirming payment of crew wages.
On May 16, some crewmembers (4 ratings) claimed that they had not received their wages.
On May 17, Liberian appointed MLC inspector boarded the vessel and upon completion of the inspection, determined that 4 ratings had not received their wages.
The Administration is cooperating with P&I to resolve the case.
