Other
The, flag state organized various tripartite mediation
meetings on unpaid wages. Ship-owner promised to settle
all the crew outstanding wages before end of October, 2021.
The payment was not honoured as promised. Seafarers have
sued for judicial sale of the ship for unpaid wages through
the Admiralty Court in Mombasa. The Kenya Maritime
Authority is coordinating supplies of food and water to the
abandoned seafarers pending the decision of the Admiralty
Court.
