- comments:
- The Jordanian Law stipulates a single-trade union structure. Addressing freedom of association in Jordan should be led by the ILO at a higher level, and not at a programme-level.
The ILO has raised this concern with national and international stakeholders on many occasions and continue this discourse.
In the meantime, BWJ continues to work with workers, union representatives and employers to promote social dialogue at the firm and sectoral levels. Further, BWJ enterrd into a MoU with the garment-sector union and will actively work to develop the union's capacity.
