- In future projects of similar nature, the ILO should pay more attention towards gender mainstreaming in project design and implementation. Project gender mainstreaming measures might include the following:
Reach an agreement with the Ministry to conduct a minimum number of random labour inspections to female sensitive enterprises or employment sectors, to contribute to the potential improvement of their labour conditions.
Reach an agreement with labour mediators to give special consideration to gender sensitive issues during conflict mediation.
Request tripartite constituents and other local partner institution to report on gender mainstreaming activities and progress in this regard and to monitor its performance through an M&E framework.
