- "The overarching objective of the new initiatives under LAWC cluster is to propagate and elevate the standards of decent work in the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector and extend these principles beyond RMG, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and the active participation of women. The initiatives will extend the efforts of Better Work Bangladesh (BWB) to further its engagement in fostering social dialogue, enhancing capacities, and elevating women to leadership roles.
The component of BWB will be instrumental in empowering women workers by developing their skills, paving the way for them to assume supervisory and managerial roles, and become significant worker representatives and leaders. BWB has cultivated robust capacities for extensive data collection, analysis, and interpretation across many labour and compliance dimensions in the garment industry. These proven capacities will be leveraged and replicated under the new initiatives.
Key industry stakeholders like BGMEA, BKMEA, BEF, and the WRC will receive comprehensive training to provide advisory services and conduct training sessions for both managers and workers in various enterprises. The continuity of the brand ‘Better Work’s service’ is crucial to uphold its quality, integrity, and maintain the trust from international buyers. The replication and amplification of such endeavours are vital to create a holistic and inclusive environment conducive to decent work and progressive industry standards."

2. Deliver trainings and advisory to factory managers and workers representatives on women's right protection, through women representation.
3. Develop and implement of a Quality Assurance Framework to monitor the service delivered by the social partners and the collaborators
4. Deliver advisory services to remediate compliance issues in the factories based on risks and factory roadmap. "

- Recommendation 3: Private sector initiatives (BW, and also RSC and Nirapon) can strengthen their work in social dialogue, skill building and leadership promotion of women, and behaviour change of factory management: BW interventions have amply demonstrated the value of social dialogue, skill building and behaviour change initiative at factor levels. BW experiences have also demonstrated that more work is needed in these areas to achieve inclusive working environment at the RMG factories, especially at the SME factories. Learning from these experiences, and for achieving systemic change (as was the intent of RMGP II), all the private sector initiatives can potentially include these elements of work in their programming. The initiatives can particularly invest in female workers' skill development, establish effective grievance/complaints mechanisms, enhance social dialogue and community-level collaboration, promote agency and opportunities for leadership and representation of women workers and work towards a comprehensive culture and behaviour change among the factory management. By promoting these measures, the private sector led initiatives (including BW) will truly achieve not only safe but also a more inclusive and equitable environment in the RMG sector.
