Method of data collection
Prices for all items are collected by agents from five markets,
four large stores, and service establishments. Prices of local
food, fuel and certain other items are collected each day; prices of
imported food items are collected each week; and prices of all other
items are collected at the end of each month.
Housing
Rent is not included in the index, nor was it taken into account in
determining the weights.
