  • Previous registrations with the agency/service;
  • Other: mobility; languages spoken; driving licence; telephone number; e-mail address; family status; length of work experience.

    4.Criteria used for inclusion of a person in the registers (R):

  • To have a professional diploma or a specialization acquired in a course of adult training (R);
  • To have a diploma of general education (minimum secondary school examination level) (R);
  • To have a work experience of at least three years in a qualified job, testified by work certificates (R).

    5.Criteria used for exclusion of a person from the registers (R):

  • Death (R);
  • Taking up residency abroad (R);
  • Commencement of a (new) job: the registration is cancelled when the job-seeker declares that he/she is no longer looking for a job, or when he/she is placed by the ANAPEC in a qualified job (R);
  • Studying or undergoing training (R);
  • Failure to contact the agency/service: not updating registration during the six months following the last registration (R);
  • Refusal of suitable job offers (R).

    6.Definition of unemployed persons used for the statistics

    Unemployment statistics are established by the Statistics Department, which is under the authority of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Forecasting. Statistics established by the ANAPEC are based on the index of registered job-seekers and are only used internally.

    The registers are updated on a continuous basis.

    8.Unemployment rates

    Statistics from the registers are not used to obtain unemployment rates.
