  • Citizenship: the registration card is issued to foreigners only if the conditions required by the rules are fulfilled (R);
  • Being resident in the country (R) and (S);
  • Previously employed (R) and (S);
  • Desired duration of employment and/or number of hours of work sought (R) and (S).

  • Death (R) and (S);
  • Taking up residency abroad (R) and (S);

    Unemployment statistics are based on the register in which job-seekers are recorded. Therefore, any person looking for a job and registered with the ANPE during the reference period is considered as unemployed.

    The registers are not updated regularly.

    Statistics from the registers are not used to obtain unemployment rates.
