Methods of data collection, estimation and adjustment

There is a systematic compilation of the statutory provisions on rural wages; the corresponding values of wages in cash and in kind are directly carried over to the values established by these provisions. No estimation or adjustment is made. The national legislation in application which regulates the working and living conditions of rural workers is embodied in Law No. 14.785 of 19 May 1978 and its related Enactment No. 647/978 of 21 November 1978. The statutory provisions concerning registration of the formal obligations imposed under the contractual conditions relating to rural workers are contained in Decree No. 392/980 of 1980 and in complementary provisions such as the Resolutions of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security dating from 1981 and 1985. These texts specify, in detail, the documents which enterprises must use and the formalities which they must follow, depending on the nature of their activities.
