Methods of data collection

There is a legal obligation for the workers' organization involved or the authorized representatives of the workers involved to give 15 days' notice of a strike to the corporate managers of the enterprise concerned, the relevant ministry and the police. The notice should include the demands, duration, place and number of participants. A strike announced for the first time may not last longer than one workday and a strike non-announced not more than the hour. Statistical data about the strike are collected by the enterprise and sent to the Directorate of Statistics through the relevant ministry.
