A política de emprego é constituída por 8 pilares e um conjunto de medidas, que asseguram o aumento das oportunidades e a garantia da estabilidade do emprego, da produção, da produtividade, da competitividade, contribuindo assim para o desenvolvimento económico e social e para o bem-estar dos cidadãos. As medidas enquadram-se nos seguintes pilares: Pilar 1: Desenvolvimento do Capital Humano; Pilar 2: Criação de novos postos de trabalho; Pilar 3: Harmonização e Priorização de Políticas Sectoriais; Pilar 4: Promoção de Trabalho Digno, Produtivo e Sustentável; Pilar 5: Melhoria do Sistema de Informação do Mercado de Trabalho; Pilar 6: Saúde Ocupacional, Higiene e Segurança no Trabalho; Pilar 7: Fortalecimento da Cooperação Internacional; Pilar 8: Assuntos Transversais. The employment policy comprises 8 pillars and a set of measures that ensure an increase in opportunities and guarantee employment stability, production, productivity, competitiveness and thus contribute towards economic and social development and wellbeing of citizens. The measures are fall into into the following pillars: Pillar 1: Development of Human Capital; Pillar 2: Creation of new jobs; Pillar 3: Harmonization and prioritization of Sectoral Policies; Pillar 4: Promotion of Decent, Productive and Sustainable Work; Pillar 5: Improve the Labour Market Information System; Pillar 6: Occupational Health and Safety at the Workplace; Pillar 7: Strengthen International Cooperation; Pillar 8: Cross-cutting Issues.
