Additional information:
• "Education until 18" aims to significantly reduce early dropouts from school and vocational training. • The labor market policy objectives of the Public Employment Service (PES) include: - Vocational training and labor market integration of young people, - Ensuring vocational training through apprenticeships, - Getting unemployed people into work through training. • The development of youth unemployment is continuously monitored on a monthly basis. There are no concrete national targets regarding the achievement of objectives. At the regional level, targets are set by the PES with the implementing partner organisations. Also within the PES, there are very detailed control instruments with which these targets are continuously monitored. Indicators include: - Number of unemployed people who take up an apprenticeship, - Number of unemployed people who have been registered for more than 6 months, - Measurement of labor market success and the success of training courses.Countries with quantitative targets for youth employment

Additional information:
The partnership with the social partners in Austria has traditionally been of great importance. Representations of both employees and employers are represented in all important bodies of (youth) labour market policy (e.g. PES Board, all substantive and strategic subcommittees of the Board, Steering Group and Advisory Board of Education until 18). Austrian National Youth Council (Bundesjugendvertretung BJV) https://bjv.at/english-information/ 2025: The “Ability to work until 25” project serves to promote the employment and inclusion of young people with limited ability to work and contributes to comprehensive participation in all areas of life as well as better financial security for this group of people. For this initiative, a particularly close exchange was maintained between the federal government, the provinces, the PES and the Social Ministry Service with the involvement of the social partners. https://www.bmaw.gv.at/Infos-FAQ/Arbeitsfaehigkeit-bis-25.htmlInclusiveness of vulnerable groups in national strategies
