Dominica Youth Business Trust (DYBT). The DYNT Board of trustee comprises representative of the Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC), Dominica State College, Dominica Bar Association, Financial Institutions and the National Youth Council. DTBT is a member of the Youth Business International, Global Enterprise Congress and Caribbean of Youth Business Trusts DYBT is actively engaged in fostering entrepreneurship among young people in Dominica. This initiative, supported by the Commonwealth Youth Programme, the Government of Dominica, the Organization of American States, and the Caribbean Development Bank, focuses on helping young Dominicans aged 18 to 35 who aspire to own a business but lack the necessary resources, knowledge, and experience. Key efforts and programs of the DYBT include: 1. Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP): This is a comprehensive four-week program, which includes a one-week Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) and three additional weeks of sessions covering various aspects of entrepreneurship. 2. Small Business Assistance Facility (SBAF): Aimed at entrepreneurs who are already in business, this program offers a special two-day workshop covering key management topics such as record keeping, marketing, and cash flow management. 3. Mentorship Program: An integral component of DYBT, the Mentorship Program provides guidance and support to young entrepreneurs, facilitated in part through funding from the Caribbean Development Bank and technical support from the Barbados Youth Business Trust. 4. Social Enterprise Incubator Program: This newly launched program, in collaboration with the Barbados Youth Business Trust and funded by the European Union, aims to support new and existing entrepreneurs in developing social enterprises that address various social challenges. 5. Regular Training Sessions and Workshops: DYBT regularly hosts training programs and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of entrepreneurs, including topics like risk management and e-commerce. Overall, the Dominica Youth Business Trust is dedicated to empowering young entrepreneurs, helping them develop successful and sustainable businesses, and contributing to the economic growth of Dominica. These efforts are particularly significant given the challenges young entrepreneurs face in the region, including limited labour opportunities and challenges for female entrepreneurs. DYBT's programs are designed to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for all young entrepreneurs in Dominica. Also through the Youth Development Division's - job attachment component of the Skills Training programme, the YDD has been able to develop and maintain relationships with many public and private sector organizations in Dominica. Interns are frequently sent to these establishments for on-the-job training which may lead to possible absorption of that intern into the organization. Through these partnerships, it is also common for the YDD to receive requests from establishments wanting to fill vacancies. The Ministry of Tourism has also collaborated with the Dominica State College (DSC) in regards to the Culinary Arts section of the college in reference to training and also with the Dominica Festivals Commission (DFC) in recruiting youths in the ushering of Dignitaries VIP and Serving.Inclusiveness of vulnerable groups in national strategies
