Pursuant to the VS/2016/0105 financing agreement (title: Youth Guarantee “Three steps finding a job”) signed between the Ministry of Labour and the European Commission in the framework of the EU program for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI), the Ministry of Labour in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Manpower Organisation (OAED) and the Municipality of Egaleo were engaged in implementing information and awareness activities in the context of the Youth Guarantee. In addition, as part of the EU program for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) a project under the title “NEETs on Board” has been implemented with the aim to outreach and motivate aged 15-29 NEETs residing in the areas of Piraeus, islands of Saronic Gulf and East Peloponnese through the establishment and operation of networks consisting of public / private and local / regional / national actors who are active in the fields of Blue Growth and Social Economy. The main policy theme addressed by the project was the acceleration of the Youth Guarantee implementation in Greece in the aforementioned economic sectors by increasing synergies with relevant stakeholders. Information sharing, communication and outreach activities led to both objectives: -To better inform / engage Youth Guarantee provision and governance stakeholders by promoting two – way communication and cooperation mechanisms within the Member State; and -To better inform young people about the Youth Guarantee, engage with and reach out to them. 2. The current Youth Guarantee Action Plan also aims at addressing the brain-drain effect. To this end, an informal, interministerial and interdisciplinary expert group has been established by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for the exchange of scientific views, sharing of information and knowledge about the actions developed by each institution to address the phenomenon and the design of new smart actions.Inclusiveness of vulnerable groups in national strategies
