2025 - ILO involves us in their employment projects - The ILO has supported us in organising the caravan for professional guidance for young people and in building the capacity of the regional employment services, operationalising the regional employment information system in the Atsinanana region. - Other agencies support the promotion of employment, but for the moment there is no direct support from the Ministry in charge of employment: UNDP, UNIDO, the Integrated Growth Pole or PIC, the ADB, the World Bank, etc. 2024: - Through the ProAgro YOUTH project, the ILO is enabling 1,500 rural young people to access decent work as salaried employees or self-employed in agricultural and agri-food value chains. Type of support: Institutional support and capacity building through the establishment of agro-industrial clusters and the development of an integrated programme for self-employment and salaried employment of young people; Evidence-based knowledge management and strategic communication focused on policy dialogue on decent job creation for rural youth. - Through the EAGER project, the World Bank aims to empower young women. Type of support: capacity building to improve employability; individual or group mentoring and coaching; active learning; grants to women project promoters; support for consumption with a cash transfer; support for investment in the start-up or expansion of income-generating activities in the form of self-employment or micro-enterprise...
