2023: The Employment Department continually engages with the private sector to increase their participation on youth employment programmes _____ 2022 survey: As per current procedure, national consultation is always undertaken when introducing new policies and legislation, as such all relevant social partners a consulted. Seychelles also currently has a National Consultative Committee on Employment which is chaired by the Minister responsible for Employment on which all representative social partners are members. The aim of the Committee is to advice the Minister on any employment and related labour issue or policy decision being made. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2020 survey: The Government of Seychelles has re-introduced the Unemployment Relief Scheme in November 2017, which brings about a more consolidated approach to tackling unemployment by reinforcing the work of the Employment Department, the Agency for Social Protection, the Agency for Prevention of Drug Abuse and Rehabilitation, and the private sector for the placement of welfare recipients, drug addicts and ex-convicts.
