- comments:
- Ultimately all project beneficiaries benefit form a good project design that is based on their needs and priorities.
- challenges:
- Negative lesson is that you have a project that does not reflect the priorities of partners or beneficiaires.
- success:
- Benefit of good project design is that it presents clear strategic direction and intent and is used as a useful management and guidance tool
- context:
- Quality project design involves partners and beneficiaries in developing and documented a shared vision and understanding of a particular intervention. It also helps in identifying and addressing specific contextual issues that need to be considered, included, and addressed.
- description:
- Project designs should ideally occur and be prepared with all participants and stakeholders. Developing designs and proposals in isolation minimises the opportunities for partnership and consensus building and often misses important contextual factors in respective enabling environments that need to be prioritised and addressed.
- administrative_issues:
- Requires the mix of individuals and work units (PARDEV, EVAL etc) to support the design process. Standardised approaches to project design are required.
