challenges:
Development of BDS providers as per ILO’s standards of SIYB and SCORE is a time-consuming and resource-intensive exercise. This leads to development of insufficient numbers of local BDS providers in adequate numbers. This limitation works as a critical challenge in upscaling BDS services by the BMOs to its members.
success:
The project experience suggests that training and certification of these trainers in ILO tools and as per ILO standards significantly improves the quality of BDS.
context:
This lesson is relevant to the projects that include development of BDS providers as part of their overall MSME development strategy.
