description:
The BDWA intervention, perhaps more than anything else, demonstrates the power of self-organization. In the face of numerous challenges, the country of Brazil, in general, and the State of Bahia, in particular, took control of the effort to promote decent work. They experimented with previously unknown organizational structures and processes to come up with an intervention that was appropriate for their context. The result is an unconventional decent work initiative that has achieved unconventional results.
