description:
Moving away from the “dependency syndrome” This PPDP project was designed with an in-built in conditionality and participation from the private sector. In this sense that the Project is quite unique and experimental - and a good practice. It is operated with a two-parts total budget, one part coming from Sida and the other part coming from partners in the private and public sector. Sida is expecting that its part gradually will become smaller while the other part will grow. Part of the good practice is that this is a move away from perpetuating the “dependency syndrome” created by technical assistance/development aid.
