description:
Over the course of three phases, SCORE has moved from a standardized model of delivery to one that is more adaptive. The shift towards adaptive management that makes SCORE Training better suited to local conditions is an example of emerging good practice that can be built on in the future. Since Phase II there has been an increase in local ownership of SCORE Training and local stakeholder input has played a greater role in shaping national programme activities. This is very important for successfully achieving Immediate Objective 1. This move towards bottom-up design and implementation can be seen in the growing array of training offerings available and the different funding models both of which are made possible because of adaptive management. Lessons about understanding and adapting to national conditions are part of good practice that can be taken forward in new country programmes and similar projects.
