comments:
"LEBANON: The ILO provided within the context of the work on the CLMRS different awareness raising sessions to different NGOs working on CL and withdrawal of children. However, most of the NGOs lack funds indeed to have long-term programme to address child labour and to cover it across Lebanon. They lack the resources and coverage. JORDAN: Capacity enhancement to around 26 NGOs in the 3 main Governorates where CL is prominent leading to have a solid network of actors on the ground to translate the NFCL into actions when financial resources will be made available. ILO, beyond the lifespan to the RDPP project will exert efforts into resource mobilization with different donors."
action_plan:
"LEBANON: The project has concluded mapping of the NGOs of Lebanon who address the child labour issue and who would be able to contribute to the provision of services (educational, vocational, literacy, numeracy, compute coding and others), to prepare the children to have decent life. Despite efforts were made to put in place the structure of the CLMRS, this wa not achieved. The structuring of the CLMRS shoul provide a platform for exchanging info and knowledge nd sharing of data. Institutionalization of the CLMRS system and creation of a the network linking the key actors has been raised and continue to be one of the best possible solutions for the efforts made. However, this is a long-term objective which requires coordination - at the national level- and a lead role to the Ministry of Labour. 26 NGOs in Amman, Zarka and Irbid, in the most congested areas, were capacitated on how to integrate CL concerns into their own mandates through strategic planning and how to create a network with other stakeholders. title:
A comprehensive platform should be developed incorporating the monitoring and evaluation of the different NGOs addressing child labor, in order to help them share experiences, best practices, data collection tools and information. Provide a platform for discussion of what is working and what needs improvement amongst key stakeholders is essential for long-term success. This should include continuous dialogue on different aspects of the project amongst donors, development partners, technical specialists, and social workers etc. to ensure successful implementation. One specific recommendation emerging from the Norwegian-funded project in Lebanon project was the importance of developing a mapping of all the donors and other relevant institutions. Although this is currently happening under the Child Labor Monitoring and Referral Systems, a centralized platform, which unifies all relevant information, would be critical in consolidating national efforts addressing CL.
