- MTE recommended 8 to 12 months of No Cost Extension and it has also mentioned project preference of 18 months extension if EUD approves. The project assessed that the initial delay of 17 months in its approval has severely impacted project achievements/progress and pace. This has further been affected by COVID19 pandemic as all TVET institutes are declared from the 3rd week or March. Therefore, if at least 18 months of No cost extension is approved then project will be able to accomplish its planned deliverables as per log frame. This is also to be noted that, MTE has recommended “Conditional extension” with clear exit strategy. The project has presented conditional extension framework in its extension note to EUD with request of 18 months of extension.
The measures/activities to develop exist strategy have been included in project plan which reflects its implementation in the first quarter of 2022.
