- comments:
- Capacity building programmes on labour inspection and OSH usually include practical training through guided field visits to workplaces in different sectors, which could not be implemented in Syria due to security issues, and study tours for sharing successful experiences in the relevant good practice countries, which was the case for the RBSA project where tripartite teams participated in relevant study tours to Egypt and Jordan. Expertise used throughout the project were mostly local.
- action_plan:
- As per the action plan for recommendation 4, the work on OSH/labour inspection is continued in biennium 2022-23 as part of deliverables of target CPO (SYR103). This will include follow up to the Study Tours conducted under the RBSA interventions. The follow up actions will also include development of a local network of experts on OSH/labour inspection in Syria. However, organization for South-South study tours is subject to availability of funding.

- title:
- Continue the OSH/labour inspection capacity building model of complementing technical capacity building workshops combined with tripartite South-South study tours. Ensure that capacity building workshops are sufficiently participatory and involve practical applications of theory for participants. Consider more use of local expertise where possible.
