- A Ministerial-level meeting, organized by the Qatar Government and the African Union took place on 21-22 May, engaging Ministers of Labour from 25 African States, GCC, Jordan and Lebanon. The Ministers adopted the ‘Doha Declaration’, which committed to continued cooperation and further dialogue on the governance of labour migration in the corridor. Depending on the degree of inclusiveness of this process going forward, ILO will take a decision regarding the need/possibility for the organization of a complementary tripartite plus forum and which agencies should be involved in joint coordination.
