Responses to each point in Recommendation 1 are as follows:  The teams have meetings which occur on a bi-monthly basis (approximately) and centre on themes and needs that are pressing to the programme at that point in time (i.e. collaboration, setting up the second half of the partnership, the mid-term evaluation, annual reporting, annual meeting with Sida)  The partnership programme provides formal updates to Sida on bi-annual basis – through the annual report (March/April) and through the annual consultation (September).  The components have regular discussions with ACT/EMP and ACTRAV as part of the broader engagement through their units/branches.
action_plan:
Responses to each point in Recommendation 1 are as follows:  To respond to the recommendation, the programme will have more structured standing bi-monthly meetings with rotating chair and a particular theme to explore each meeting.  In line with the recommendation, the components will continue to look for more collaboration opportunities. To help identify more collaboration opportunities across partnership themes, the programme has scheduled a workshop in September/October 2024 with the objective of identifying additional collaboration opportunities enhancing existing cooperations or developing new areas of joint work. - Following the recommendation, dedicated update meetings on the Partnership will be organised. Specific activities are organised in collaboration with ACTRAV and ACTEMP to reinforce constituent capacities to contribute to policy discussions at the national level on the different components.

title:
Recommendation 1: Programme components should strengthen the management of the programme and implement the approach formulated in the concept note. In absence of a programme coordinator, component leads should dedicate increased efforts to ensure adequate flat management of the programme. This includes meeting bi-monthly and forming and convening the Technical Advisory Group with participation of ACT/EMP and ACTRAV and other technical specialists and country representatives as relevant to improve overall programme coordination. Programme components should consider setting up mechanisms promoting periodically the achievements of the programme to Sida and the Swedish embassies in countries of programme interventions, and to other donors. Therefore the programme components could consider jointly allocating resources towards more robust advocacy and dissemination activities to raise awareness of the programme's contributions and engage a wider audience. Programme components should continue defining entry points for collaboration at global and national levels with a view to pursue joint work during the second phase of the programme and take over for the countries in which joint interventions may cease (Moldova and Ghana).
